I thought I would try a new way to help people who want more support on their garment sewing journey.
Ok, so if you are reading this, chances are:
You know I’m really into helping people fit their clothes to their unique body. It can be frustrating shopping or making clothes that weren’t designed for your unique proportions (I have a measurement that falls into a size 10, and a measurement that is a size 0 – this makes shopping for jeans really frustrating).
While there are tutorials on this on the blog, I thought I might offer more support to those who want more guidance on transforming their clothes.
Personalised fit and alteration advice just for you!
I’m looking for 7 people to join me for a 1:1 tailoring consultation over zoom, to help you navigate doing your own alterations, and making your clothes fit you, your way.
I believe that wearing perfectly fitting clothes can feel really good, make you feel confident, and love the clothes you have in your wardrobe. Learning to do your own clothing adjustments to fit your unique self, in your own style, can be powerful.
If you have basic sewing skills (can make easy projects, understand phrases like “seam allowance”) and want some support in figuring out what sewing techniques would suit you best and where/how to apply them, send me an email at elise@elisesewingstudio.com and we can see if this is something that would be beneficial for you. Or you can fill out the form here to let me know a bit about yourself and I will write back to you to go over how it will work. You could even try clothes on and I’ll give you suggestions on how to approach it, or I have had someone request to work with a model, either is fine.
Happy sewing,
Elise
